Our hospitals and grounds are SMOKEFREE

CMDHB aims to protect the health of those living in our community while promoting and supporting healthy living.  For this reason, we are enforcing our Smokefree Policy that all our sites and grounds are smokefree.

 Patients:

• Ask your family doctor or nurse for help to quit smoking before you are admitted to hospital.
• Hospital staff can supply you with nicotine replacement products to help you remain comfortably smokefree during your stay.

 Visitors:

• Please leave your cigarettes at home or in the car during your hospital visit.
• Concierge staff at Middlemore Hospital can give you nicotine lozenges to help with cravings.
